Tesco Bank creates 300 jobs for current account launch
Tesco Bank has announced it will create 300 new jobs in Glasgow and Edinburgh, as it prepares to launch a current account next year. The majority of the roles will form part of a new team responsible for serving current account customers.
The positions are permanent with the majority being full time and instead of incentivising sales, Tesco Bank will offer a competitive basic salary and pension scheme. In addition, all colleagues will receive extensive training to ensure they can provide great customer service.
Benny Higgins, Chief Executive of Tesco Bank, said: “Since 2008, we have invested to build a bank for Tesco customers. We now have more than 6.8 million accounts and offer straightforward, transparent products which reward loyalty and provide great value.
“We are making excellent progress towards the launch of our current account next year and the recruitment of these new roles is an important milestone in that process.”
The roles will be split between the bank’s main offices in Scotland - Tesco Bank, South Gyle Crescent, Edinburgh and Broadway One, Renfield Street Glasgow.
Applications open on the 6th of January. To apply please visit http://careers.tescobank.com/
