Tesco Pay+ rewards customers with extra Tesco Clubcard points as it reaches 500,000 customer milestone

  • 500,000 customers benefit from ease and convenience of Tesco Pay+
  • Tesco Pay+ gives customers extra Clubcard points until 31st December

Tesco Pay+ has now amassed over 500,000 downloads following its relaunch in September 2017. The mobile payments app makes Tesco shopping trips more convenient and rewarding for customers who choose to pay with their smartphone.

As an extra little help, Tesco Pay+ is rewarding customers with additional Clubcard points until 31 December 2018. Customers using Tesco Pay+ as their chosen payment method, will get 1 extra Clubcard point per £4 spent in Tesco or at Tesco petrol stations.*

“We know that speed and convenience are really important factors for our customers when shopping in stores. Tesco Pay+, our own mobile payment app, was designed to help customers to both pay for their shopping, up to the value of £250, and collect Clubcard points with just one scan of their mobile phone.

“Since we rolled out the app, we have seen customers really embrace the technology and today are pleased to announce that we have reached over 500,000 Tesco Pay+ customers. This milestone marks both our dedication to the development of Tesco Pay+ as well as our continued commitment to offering genuinely helpful services to Tesco customers."

The key features of the Tesco Pay+, digital wallet include:

  • Ease and convenience at the checkout with a simple and fast payment method.
  • Ability for customers to automatically collect Clubcard points using their mobile phone.
  • Ability to track their spending in Tesco.
  • Ability to link multiple payment cards within the app.
  • Ability to pay for shopping up to the value of £250 per individual transaction.
  • Ability to pay with the app even without a mobile connection.

Tesco Pay+ is available on both Android and iOS.

Tesco Pay+ is operated by Tesco Bank

Customers can use Tesco Pay+ in all Tesco stores across the UK, including Tesco Express, Tesco Metro, Tesco Extra and Tesco Superstores, as well as Tesco filling stations.

*Tesco Clubcard Points offer additional Terms & Conditions:

1 point for every £4 spent (£4 minimum) in each Tesco Pay+ transaction in Tesco and Tesco Petrol Filling Stations.

​Points will be added to a future Clubcard statement.
