Tesco unveils Tesco Pay+
- Tesco PayQwiq digital wallet app to become Tesco Pay+
- Details of Tesco Pay+ to follow later in September
Tesco has today announced that PayQwiq, the digital wallet app, is to be re-launched as Tesco Pay+. Further details about Tesco Pay+ will follow later in September.
Launched in 2015, the PayQwiq digital wallet app allows customers to pay for their shopping in a simple and fast manner while at the same time collecting their Clubcard points. Key features of the digital wallet, include:-
- Ease and convenience at the checkout with simple and fast payment method
- Ability to collect Clubcard points with a single swipe
- Hold multiple payment cards on the app
- Pay for shopping up to the value of £250
Commenting on Tesco Pay+, Mark Loch, Tesco Digital Wallets and Group Payments Strategy Director, said:
“We are really excited to be telling customers today that their digital wallet will soon be changing its name to Tesco Pay+. The journey of our digital wallet has been an exciting one and we’ve learned a great deal about our customers and how they shop in that time. We believe that Tesco Pay+ is going to help the customer journey, offering greater little helps, and we’re looking forward to revealing more in a few weeks’ time.”
Tesco Pay+ is available for both Android and iOS smartphones, allows customers to pay and also collect Clubcard points, all with one simple scan of their phone. The app has a single transaction limit of £250 to ensure that customers can use Pay+ to pay for their weekly shop and more.
