National Charity Partner

Our National Charity Partnership with Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation.

In the first partnership of its kind, Tesco, Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation have come together to help people reduce their risk of Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

For three years, we are on a mission to raise millions of pounds to help millions of people eat better, get active and make healthier choices.

The power of three

Diabetes UK is the leading UK diabetes charity that cares for, connects with and campaigns alongside people with or at risk of diabetes.

The British Heart Foundation (BHF) is the UK’s number one heart charity leading the fight against cardiovascular disease through research, information and support.

At Tesco we are committed to using our scale for good and making healthy choices the easy choice for our customers and colleagues in the UK. By working together, we’re combining the charities’ expertise in health with our ability to speak to people in local communities across the UK.

This gives us a unique opportunity to encourage the nation to make healthier choices in the way they live their lives.

Money well spent

All the money raised will be split equally between Diabetes UK and the British Heart Foundation. The majority of funds will go to new joint initiatives that will help people lead healthier, longer and more active lives, including Make, Move & Munch Clubs and the Let’s Do This 8 Week Challenge.

The rest will support the wider work of these two inspirational charities. This support could help millions of people avoid having to face the often-devastating effects of Type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.
